How to Play Yahtzee
Basic Rules
- • Roll Phase: You get 3 rolls per turn
- • Hold Dice: After each roll, select dice to keep
- • Score Category: Place your dice in a scoring category
- • 13 Rounds: Fill all 13 category boxes for a complete game
Scoring Categories
- Ones-Sixes: Sum of that number
- 3 of a Kind: Sum of all dice if 3+ match
- 4 of a Kind: Sum of all dice if 4+ match
- Full House: 25 points (3 of one, 2 of another)
- Small Straight: 30 points (4 consecutive)
- Large Straight: 40 points (5 consecutive)
- Yahtzee: 50 points (all 5 dice match!)
- Chance: Sum of all 5 dice
Strategy Tips
✓ Save high-value combos for high-scoring categories
✓ Try for Yahtzee (50 points) whenever possible
✓ Plan straights early - they're rare
✓ Use Chance for leftover dice
✓ Balance upper/lower section scoring
✓ Don't waste good rolls on mediocre categories
